Success Again at KMart!!

I made another trip to KMart to take advantage of the Double Coupon Event again today and boy was I pleased!!  I picked up Kellogg's Fruit Snacks, 3 deodorants, and a package of Huggies Little Swimmers (we're going to the beach in 2 months!!!) for $7.15!!!!!  Check it out!

I was expecting to pay $.39 for the deodorant because I had seen a post listing it for $4.39 and I had 2 $2 coupons (print them here), but they were on sale for $3.79, so they were absolutely free!  As was the Right Guard deodorant!  The fruit snacks were free, too ($2 and I had a $1 coupon), so I only paid a partial amount for the Little Swimmers (had a $1 coupon and they were orig. $7.85) and got the rest for free!!!

**Edited to add: I could have paid a dollar less!!  There is a $1.50 Huggies Little Swimmers coupon on the Target coupon website.  Doh!  See?  Even I don't always get the best deals!  Oh, well.  YOU can still get a better deal on them than I did, if you need them.  Print the coupon here.

Thank you, KMart!!

Have you gotten any great deals???  A reader commented on my post earlier today that she went yesterday and got 2 free deodorants and got three bottles of Pantene for $.35 each!!  Woot!  Let me know about YOUR great deal so I can brag about you, too!!

Back in the Saddle and a Quick KMart Note

I took a little bit of time away from the computer the last couple of days to focus on spending time with my family and enjoying Easter.  I'm back today, and I know I've got my work cut out for me!!

I ran to KMart yesterday.  Call me skeptical, but my luck with KMart hasn't always been the greatest.  Anyway, I wasn't sure if the whole Double Coupon Event thing was actually going to work at my neighborhood KMart, but it did!!  I was very pleased!  I ended up getting a DVD for $1!!  It's called The Pebble and the Penguin.  I found an online coupon for $2 off the movie the other day (get the coupon here) and it was in a $5 bin!!  Since they doubled my $2 coupon, I only paid a dollar for it!  We've never seen it (or even heard of it) but it looks like a cute little animated movie, and hey, it was only a buck.  So if we hate it, no biggie.  I'm gonna head back over there today to score some cheap deodorant.  I did pick up some Pull-Ups yesterday, but even with a doubled $2 coupon, I still paid $.23 per Pull-Up, which isn't a fabulous deal (Walgreens will run promotions where I can get them for $.17 or $.18 each) so I don't think I'll pick any more of those up.  Did you go to KMart?  Find any deals that everyone should know about?  Leave a comment!

Don't Forget about KMart Super Double Coupons Next Week!

Well, bloggers have been posting about this event for about month, and it's finally almost here!!

From 4/4 through 4/10, participating KMarts all over the country are going to double coupons up to $2.00 (up to 5 coupons per day per person)!!!  You have to have a Shop Your Way Rewards number (it's free to get and you can sign up online) in order to get the double coupon deals.  Go here to find out more or to sign up.

A friend of mine wrote to the KMart Corporation about the event, and this is the information that she received back from them:

For some reason, it looks like Elizabeth A. emphasized that the Shop Your Way Rewards card must be swiped (or input into the computer) FIRST - make sure you do that in order to get the double coupons.

And be on the lookout for high-value coupons that will be great doublers for next week.  It says that you can do 5 per day, so I'm thinking I'll be going to KMart pretty much every day next week!  :)

Charlene, over at My Frugal Adventures has put together an awesome post about what you can get for free or very cheap next week at KMart.  Here's her post with the awesome information.  Let me know if you find any other great deals and I'll try to post what I find when I go next week, too.

KMart $10/$20 Purchase Coupon a Fraud!!

I just read that the coupon I posted about earlier is a fraud.  Don't try to use it!!  Sorry about that!!!!

Great $10 off $20 Purchase KMart Coupon!!! **Updated: Fraud - Don't use!!

There is an amazing coupon from KMart that is on the Internet right now.  It's $10 off your next purchase of $20!!  It's valid through 5/22/10, so if you're planning on going to KMart during the Double Coupon Event I wrote about here, you're really going to score a great deal by using this coupon!!  Here's the link to the coupon.

**(I saw a post about this on another blog, and when I clicked the link, it took me somewhere other than the coupon.  I was confused at first, then closed the tab, and tried the link again and it worked.  Hope you don't have any trouble with it!  Let me know if you do!)

I just found out this coupon is a fraud.  Sorry!!

KMart Double Coupon Event

From April 4, 2010 to April 10, 2010, KMart is offering an incredible Double Coupon Event!  They will double coupons up to $2.00!!!  There are some rules and restrictions, but it looks like you could get some incredible deals for an entire week!!  Not all stores in the nation will be participating, but I have read in an email that was sent to Amy Harvey at mymemphismommy.com from someone at the KMart Corporation that all stores in TN will participate.  Here are the rules:
  • They will double up to 5 coupons per customer per day (so give them your high-value coupons first - the first 5 are the only ones that will double).
  • KMart store coupons will not be doubled.
  • KMart pharmacy coupons will not be doubled.
  • Coupons up to and including $2 will be doubled.
Not a bad deal!!  I'll be saving some diaper coupons and running over there a few times that week!  Saving $4 per package of diapers will definitely make a trip to KMart worth the ride!  :)

A few good deals this week at Target and K-Mart

I noticed that there are a few good deals when you combine sales and coupons for a few items at both K-Mart and Target.

K-Mart has the new Purex 3-in-1 laundry sheets on sale for $10/2.  Doesn't seem like such a good deal since they each only contain 20 to 24 sheets.  BUT, in the RedPlum insert this past Sunday, the back page has a B1G1Free coupon for any Purex Laundry Detergent or Complete 3-in-1 Laundry Sheets!  That means that you'll get 2 for $5 at K-Mart this week.  Now that's a pretty sweet deal!  I haven't tried these yet - have you?  Let me know if you have and what you thought.

K-Mart also has 12 ct. boxes of Kellogg's Pop-Tarts on sale for $2 each.  That's what 8 usually cost at the Kroger in my area.  Kroger sent out some coupons not long ago (sorry - I can't remember when it was) and there was a $1/2 coupon for any Pop-Tarts.  So you'd get 24 Pop-Tarts for $3.  Not a bad deal, either!

The deals that I thought were pretty good at Target this week were on diapers and toilet paper.  I'll start with diapers.

The really huge pack of Huggies is $29.99.  Target doesn't usually send out coupon mailers, but they do sometimes.  They sent one a few weeks back with several diaper coupons (maybe you have to have registered for Baby items with them within the past few years to get these - I'm not sure).  But the coupons they send are not manufacturer's coupons - they're Target coupons.  So you can stack them with other coupons.  And Huggies consistently sends out diaper coupons in the mail.  If you have the $1.50 off any Huggies Target coupon and a $1 off Huggies manufacturer's coupon, you'll save $2.50 off the $29.99.  For the size 4 diapers, you'll spend $.21 per diaper.  That's a pretty good price!  I usually spend at least $.24 per diaper even with the best sales.

And Target also has the Charmin Basic 36 double-roll mega-huge pack on sale for $14.99.  In the RedPlum insert this week there was a $1 off Target coupon for Charmin toilet paper.  There was also a $.25 off coupon in the 2-7-10 PG insert.  So you'll pay $13.76 for 36 double rolls of toilet paper.  That's $.38 per double-roll, which is supposedly as big as 2 rolls.  If you need some TP, now might be the time to grab that from Target!
