Weekly Walgreens Deals for 4/18 - 4/24

Erica over at Iheartwags.com has another great listing of deals this week at Walgreens. It looks like there was a small mixup about the Bayer aspirin coupon and she's posted some info about that.

Thanks for all your great work, Erica! See her posting here.

Walgreens Deals for the Week of 4/11

Once again, I'm going to link you to the deals for Walgreens rather than posting all the deals myself.  When someone else does such good work, why not let the world know about it?  :)  Iheartwags.com is a great place to go to get information on the deals at Walgreens.  She even knows what the deals are going to be ahead of time!!  You can look forward to the deals in the coming weeks!  How great is that??

Here is a link to her posting of the deals this week.  Remember, she lists freebies first, then Register Rewards deals, then coupon matchups, and other sale items.

Walgreens Deals for the Week of 4/4 through 4/10

Again, I'm going to link you to another post with a great listing of the deals at Walgreens this week.  It is, of course, posted by Erica over at iheartwags.com.

She lists freebies first, then register rewards deals, then coupon matchups, and then filler items (you have to have as many items as you have manufacturer's coupons, and register rewards count as manufacturer's coupons - so if you have a coupon for every item you're purchasing AND you want to use register rewards, you'll need extra, or filler, items.  Low cost items are the best things to use as fillers).

Anyway, here is the post - make sure you pay attention to the Frixion Pens/Highlighters deal - it's a possible money maker!  And even if it's not, they're good pens for pennies!  Hehe!

Thanks, Erica!!

I updated some coupon info on my last Walgreen's post

I wrote a post on Saturday about Walgreens deals for the week, but I left out a link for a printable coupon.  Well, I have added the link for the Nestle Nesteggs because my sister let me know that it was still available!  Thanks, Tracy!  Here's the link to the post with the chocolate frugal goodness!!  There's also a little bit more information about another hot chocolate deal.  Well, not hot chocolate......I mean a deal on chocolate that's hot.  :P

Walgreens Deals for the Week of 3/21

Well, I was going to spend some time putting together a coupon matchup for Walgreens for the upcoming week, but there are already so many out there, that I thought I'd just link to them instead of stealing them.  I met a few gals at Walgreens today when I was stocking up on some free (or actually, less than free) toothpaste that I found a few extra coupons for, and they said that they're just beginning to coupon, but they've been relying on southernsavers.com and while I had heard of that site, I hadn't spent a bunch of time there.  But I went today, and it's fabulous!!  I've linked to it in my "My Favorite Blogs" list on the right hand side of the page, and they've got a fantastic list of the deals this week.  And of course, iheartwags.com also has a fabulous listing.  There are a couple of other sites that have done great matchups, too.  So here are the links:

Ladies from Walgreens, thanks for the information on southernsavers.com!  Just because you've been couponing for a while, doesn't mean you know every trick!!  :)

Oh, and I just realized that I mentioned something about a Nestle Nesteggs deal.  So here are the details, although, the printable coupon isn't available anymore, so you had to have had a craving for chocolate last week like me!!  :)  And there's another deal that you can get $1.50 chocolate, but you have to buy 3 bags of it.

Nestle Nesteggs, Crunch or Butterfinger, 2/$5
-$1/2 from March coupon booklet
-$1/2 Printable coupon
Final Price, 2/$3

 Hershey's, Reese's, or Cadbury Candy, 8-10 oz., 2/$5
-$2/3 (3-14-07 SS) Save $2.00 when you buy any 3 bags of Hershey's, Reese's, or Cadbury candy
-$1/2 Instant Walgreens coupon
Final Price, 3/$4.50

    Happy Spring, Frugal Folks!

I'm working on a Walgreen's Deal list for the coming week.  Keep your eye out!  There's definitely a good deal on Nestle Nesteggs - you can get them for 2/$3 next week!  Not bad, since they were over $3.50 per bag last week!!  :)  I'll have a list out soon.

Look what I got at Walgreens today!

I just paid a visit to my neighborhood Walgreens to see if I could score the Purex 3-in-1 deal that I wrote about on my Facebook Fan page.  They only had one box of the Purex, but told me that they'd have more tomorrow, so I decided to just wait, since I have to buy two (with my B1G1 coupon) to get the great deal.  Anywho, I found some other great things with awesome Register Rewards!!  I spent a total of $26.25 and here's a pic of what I got.

Look at all those diapers and Pull-ups!!  You, too, can get the great deal that I just got!  Coupons.com has just reloaded their coupons and there is a $2.00 Huggies coupon and also a $2.00 Pull-Ups coupon.  You can print those coupons twice on each computer.  And if you have kids, you probably get the home mailers that Huggies periodically sends out, and they, too, had $1.00 and $2.00 coupons.  The Colgate Total was on sale for $2.99, with $2 RR back.  I had a $.75 coupon from the 02-21-10 SS insert, so I paid $.25 for the toothpaste (which has a free travel size tube attached to the top!!).  The Schick razors were marked at $7.99.  But there's a $2.00 coupon in the March Walgreens coupon book, and I had a $3.00 coupon from the 02-07-10 SS insert.  So they ended up being $3.00.  Our church is collecting items for a Homeless Men's ministry that they're doing, so I'll be donating those.  And the Cottonelle is on sale for $5.99, but I had a $1.00 coupon from the February issue of All You Magazine.  But coupons.com also has a $1.00 coupon this month for any 12-pack or larger package of Cottonelle.  (I just noticed that there's a $1.00 Kotex coupon on coupons.com, so I could have paid even less!!  Oh, well - can't win them all!!)

I did all this in 3 transactions.

    Transaction #1:
    Schick razors, $7.99
    Use $2.00 off, Walgreens coupon
    Use $3.00 off, 2-7-10 SS
    Final Price: $2.99
    Colgate Total, $2.99
    Use $.75 off, 2-21-10 SS
    Receive $2.00 in RR
    Final Price: $.25
** You may have to add a filler item because the $2.00 Wags coupon for the Schick razors seemed to have scanned as a manufacturer's coupon, but my cashier manually pushed the Colgate coupon through for me.

    Transaction #2:
    Huggies Diapers, $8.99
    Use $2.00 printable coupon
    Final Price: $6.99
    Kleenex Cottonelle, 12-pack, $5.99
    Use $1.00 printable coupon
    Final Price: $4.99
    Kotex pads or panti-liners, $2.99
    Use $1.00 printable coupon
    Final price: $1.99
    Total OOP: $13.97
Receive $5 in RR - that's like paying $8.97 for all that!!!  Incredible!!
*Note: If using $2 RR from transaction #1, you'll have to add a filler item.  I used mine, but I didn't have the Kotex coupon, so I would have had 3 items and 4 MC's, which won't work at Walgreens.  Altoids are $.59, Sweet Time Jelly Beans are 2/$1 w/ Wags coupon, Ajax is 2/$1 w/ Wags coupon....

    Transaction #3:
    3 packs Huggies or Pull-Ups, $8.99 each
Use (3) $2.00 printable coupons or Huggies Home Mailer coupons or $1.50 coupon in 2-28-10 SS (last Sunday's) insert
    Final OOP price: $20.97 - $21.47
Receive $5 in RR - that's like paying as low as $15.97 for 3 packs of diapers!!  A little over $5 a pack!  Woot!

Let me know if you find any other super deal scenarios at Walgreens this week!  I'm going back tomorrow to try to get my Purex sheets!

Walgreens Friends and Family Day 2/12 - UPDATE

I just looked at the email that Walgreens sent out about F&F Day. You MUST check out at the photo or cosmetics counter or they cannot apply the discount. And it says to hand the cashier the coupon before you check out.

15% off most items really is most items. The types of items that the coupon CAN'T be used for are:
    • Prescriptions
    • Cigarettes
    • Dairy Products
    • Liquor or Liquor Department Items
    • Phone Cards
    • Newspapers or Magazines
    • Stamps
    • Gift Cards
It looks like other than those things, you'll get 15% off your total for all name brand items.  And you'll get 20% off of all Walgreens and W Brand items.

Don't forget to print off your coupon here and take it to Walgreens tomorrow to get some great deals!  If you can't print the coupon, you can text HEART to 21525 and they'll send the coupon to your mobile phone, which you can then show to the cashier at the photo or cosmetics counter before you start checking out to get the savings.  If you're a last minute Valentine shopper (like moi), you might just be better off by waiting until it's almost too late!  Cha-ching!!

Walgreens Friends and Family Day 2/12

Charlene, over at myfrugaladventures.com, put out a post about Walgreens running a Friends and Family day on Friday the 12th. Apparently we'll be able to print a Friends & Family coupon from their website starting tomorrow. The coupon will give you 15% off of most items and 20% off of Walgreens brand items. What a deal!

There are some great deals this week that will be made even sweeter by the F&F coupon!

Check out the MegaSaver deals going on all through February at iheartwags.com and the weekly deals for this week, also at iheartwags.com.

    Thanks, Charlene and Erica!

Walgreens has added a new monthly Register Rewards deal with 3 Musketeers bars through 2/21: Buy 3/$2, Get $1 RR or Buy ANY 4, Get $1.50 RR.

In this week's ad there is a $.49 Mars candy in-ad coupon that you can use to make this an even better deal!

Buy 4 3 Musketeers (3 Musketeers Bar, Mint Bar or Truffle Crisp - new!)
Use $.49 coupon to make these $1.96 total
    Pay the $1.96 in cash

    Final Price: $.46 for 4!

This RR deal lasts most of the month, but this week is the only week where the in-ad coupon will help you get 4 for $.46 instead of 3 for $.50.
